Valor has partnered with The Academy of Real Assets who look to have a positive social impact on students from under served, higher-need UK state schools to help improve access and increase diversity within Real Estate, Real Assets and the Investment world.
In December 2020, Valor secured its first impact loan from Acofi Gestion, with specific environmental criteria linking improvements made to its assets to step downs in margin. It is also a milestone for Acofi as the first real estate impact loan underwritten by a non-bank lender in France.
ESG criteria were devised collaboratively between Acofi and Valor and accredited by EthiFinance, a financial analysis and consulting agency.
The loan aligns with Valor’s sustainability objectives and supports the Company’s industrial infill strategy which combines improving asset quality to deliver environmentally sustainable buildings in urban locations whilst delivering outsized returns to investors.
